My Story
After working with students in the classroom for over 25 years, my career came to a close due to several moves - nationally and internationally. Our 14 moves in 11 years (yes, I did say 14 moves in 11 years) forced me to create something new just for me. It turns out, I can make some tasty cookies! After sharing with a friend, she helped me tweak my signature cookie recipe, and Y.E.S. Cookies was born.
The name came naturally from my beliefs as an educator. For decades, I signed all of my correspondences to students and parents with Y.E.S. I explained to my students I would not tell them what Y.E.S. meant, but they should feel it each and every day in our class. This simple word has a deep and profound meaning to me: it empowers, and it encourages. It is how everyone should feel - Y.E.S., you're extra special.
